New Valentine's Day Bows on Tia Tori's Facebook page!!
I love Christmas!! Why? Because you can find a gazillion different Christmas themed ribbon. Thanksgiving (my real favorite holiday) you might be able to find two or three different patterned ribbons, Easter same thing, but Christmas... Oh My Goodness! There are so many options that is why I love it so!!!
I tend to go a little crazy with the Christmas bows because there are so many different choices of ribbon. Not to mention I have a TON of Christmas ribbon laying around, some probably two or three years old and never been open! Sometimes I find rolls of ribbon shoved in a drawer or box still in the bag sometime around Valentine's Day!
After buying a few more rolls that I just had to have I went all around the house collecting any Christmas ribbon I could find and all shades of red, green, and white, and then I went to work. Almost 15 new bows later and a giant mess in the living room I have run out of 1.5 inch red ribbon so I must take a break (and maybe a trip to Michael's).
These are just a few of my favorites. For more you can visit Tia Tori's on Facebook! And all bows in the Christmas Album are on sale for 20% off until Christmas!! Hope you found something you liked or maybe got an idea for a bow of your own! Merry Christmas!!
I have had so many different people tell me I should make those cute little FOE headbands with flowers on them....I finally broke down! I spent an afternoon collecting and making all different types of fabric and ribbon flowers and then turned them into something like this...
You can find them all on my Facebook page
EEKKK...I am now a Jamberry Independent Consultant on top of my bow business and I am so excited!!! What is Jamberry you ask...they are a high quality vinyl nail wrap that are sealed by heat and pressure, and they are amazing! They last for weeks for a fraction of the cost of salon visits!! And bonus there are no harsh chemicals and they don't chip like regular nail polish! Check out my current Jamicure.
Right now I doing my own person 7 day challenge so that I have some personal experience with it before I just put wraps on all of my nails. so the fancy nail is a wrap and the rest are done with just regular nail polish.
If you want to do your own 7 day challenge and try out a sample of Jamberry nail wraps just click here and fill out the form and I will send you your own wrap to try!
I will get back to you later to show you what the end of my 7 day challenge looks like! :)
A friend of mine sent me a message the other day and asked if I could make her matching cowgirl bows for her nieces. Sure, no problem... Unfortunately she was on a time crunch. While I used to work good under pressure it seems I am not so good anymore.
She wanted ribbon with their names on it. Usually this is not a problem. I have been creating and printing on ribbon for a few months now no problem... Not this week.
After ruining a good 4 yards of ribbon I gave up and opted for some simple iron on names... I love doing this! It's a great way to just add a littler personal touch to any bow, easy to do (assuming you make your picture/name the right size when you print it out), and not too expensive which means a savings for those who buy my bows.
To make the bows a little more personalized I created some images for bottle caps...8 images to be exact. Sent her a pic of the bottle caps and her response: I love them all you pick! I love this person she is great, always challenging me to create unique bows for her granddaughter and now her nieces, but at this point I was in no shape to pick out a favorite image (my week had been very long).
This is where the great idea comes out of all of the misfortune I was having with the ribbon and having to make choices and what not....
I will use ALL the bottle caps!!!!! Muhahahaha!
And so, I am now introducing my Magnetic Bottle Cap Bows line (I know it's kind of a mouthful but I'm not good with the naming just the crafting).
Now for the fun part...PICTURES!!!
I think they are super cute! Might just be my option but my friend liked them too. See those cute hearts with their names. It's an iron on. When I printed them out the first time they were just a bit too big to fit on that ribbon because of the stitching so I made two more bows for each girl with a magnet in the middle so they could put the bottle caps in the middle of those too!
