I am one of those people who have a hard time throwing anything away, even more so if it is ribbon. When ever I have scrap pieces (from cutting a piece I think I'm gonna use an then don't or gettin to the end of a spool or my favorite pulling ribbons off presents) I just throw the piece into bucket and eventually it looks like this.... When it gets to this point I dump it out and separate all the colors. Sometimes I do this for holiday bows. Which is what I was going for today (Christmas in July sale...it's coming y'all). I decided to start with these little striped ribbon. These have been in the scrap bin forever. Six cuts of ribbon about seven inches long what to you do with that? And they came from a project my grandma was doing years ago and gave up on it and said here you have these. (In case you are wondering they are a Stampin Up! Ribbon.) So cut two pieces the same length (mine are about 7inches). Then you are going to find the center of the ribbon and fold the ends over. I've done it so many times I just hold it but you can put a little bit of glue to keep it together. Then give it a little stitch and tie it up. Do that with both ribbons and you have something that looks like these. Put a little dab of hot glue in the middle and smash them together. Be careful not to burn your fingers! Take another piece of thread and wrap it around the two piece just for a little more security and finish it off. I chose to put it on skinny elastic and make a headband which you can purchase on my Facebook page for just $2.25!
